One night outside created months of opportunity because of your generosity.

What an incredible night.

With the generous support of our community, Sleep Out 2026 raised nearly $19,000 to support The Worker's Workforce Villages Program—providing the gift of time for individuals working hard to build lasting stability.

From those who joined us at the Kickoff event at Culdesac to those who rolled out sleeping bags in The Worker's parking lot, every person who participated helped shine a light on the realities of housing insecurity while creating real opportunities for our neighbors to move forward.

For some participants, this was also their very first visit to The Worker. They had the chance to experience our office, see our HOPE mural, spin the Wheel of Hope, and learn more about the life-changing work that happens every day within our walls. We couldn't have asked for a better way to introduce new supporters to our mission.

More Than One Night Outside

At The Worker, we know that one night outside isn't what changes a life.

Opportunity does.

Our Workforce Villages Program gives individuals who are employed—but still facing housing instability—the opportunity to spend 90 days in free transitional housing while working toward long-term self-sufficiency.

During those 90 days, participants meet with our staff every week for financial check-ins, receive budgeting support and accountability, and work toward ambitious savings goals that prepare them for independent living.

Last year, Workforce Villages participants saved an average of $5,260 before moving into housing of their own.

Thanks to the nearly $19,000 raised through this year's Sleep Out, 38 people will have the opportunity to spend the next 90 days inside—saving for their own lease, building financial security, and taking the next step toward lasting independence.

Thank You

To everyone who donated, shared our mission, volunteered, sponsored the event, or chose to spend a night sleeping outside in solidarity—thank you.

Your compassion became more than awareness. It became action.

Because of you, more individuals won't just have a place to stay for 90 days—they'll have the time, support, and stability needed to build a future of their own.

Together, we're proving that when a community comes together, one night can help create a lifetime of opportunity.
