Celebrating St. Joseph the Worker Day
An Evening Rooted in Purpose
On Friday, May 1st, we welcomed supporters, partners, volunteers, and community members together for our St. Joseph the Worker Day Happy Hour, an evening centered around the life-changing impact of quality employment.
Held on the holiday that commemorates our organization’s namesake, the evening marked the beginning of a meaningful tradition we are proud to continue for years to come. Named after St. Joseph, the patron saint of workers, our organization was built on the belief that employment is more than a paycheck. It creates dignity, stability, confidence, and the opportunity for a better future.
Throughout the evening, guests heard stories of transformation, reconnected with our mission, and celebrated the individuals whose lives continue to be changed through employment, housing, and support services at The Worker.
A special thank you to Taco Head for providing delicious tacos throughout the evening, and to feeney/winthrop Band for filling the night with live music that made the celebration even more memorable for our guests.
Experience the Evening
Whether you joined us in person or are part of our community from afar, we are grateful to have you alongside us in this work.
If you were unable to attend, we invite you to experience some of the evening through the video recap below and see firsthand what this community continues to make possible.

Be Part of What Comes Next
Every day, individuals walk through our doors looking for a fresh start. Sometimes, the smallest forms of support can make the biggest difference during that journey.

Here are a few ways you can help support what comes next for our clients:
$5 • Hope Fuel Kit
Provides snacks and water to help clients stay energized, encouraged, and prepared as they take important next steps toward employment and stability.
$15 • Interview Kit
Helps clients walk into interviews feeling confident and prepared with professional essentials and support.
$150 • Welcome Kit
Provides household essentials for clients transitioning into stable housing and a fresh start of their own.
More Than a Donation
Every kit represents more than supplies. It represents hope, dignity, and the opportunity to move forward.
As we continue creating clear pathways to self-sufficiency across the Valley, support like yours helps make those next steps possible. Whether someone is preparing for an interview, navigating their first days of employment, or moving into a place to call their own, these kits remind our clients that their community is standing beside them every step of the way.
